Lean Agent

 Responsible for the optimization of process performance projects, oversee organizational transformation projects according to the Lean Continuation Improvement culture and assist the various teams involved.


  • Work with management team in the design of the “lean process” and the pursuit of value stream improvements.

  • Challenge and guide leadership teams in the identification of improvement opportunities.

  • Lead high-impact kaizen events and other process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma) projects in the context of developing facilitation skill sets in employees.

  • Facilitate smaller events with the intent of demonstrating successful implementation and encouraging locally-led adoption of relevant application.

  • Coach and mentor event/project leaders in concepts, tools and change management techniques.

  • Motivate champions by spreading methodology awareness and providing assistance necessary for event/project success.

  • Assist business unit management in establishing key process metrics.

  • Measure process improvement performance against targets.

  • Establish appropriate foundation and related processes for documenting lean efforts and validating improvements.

  • Assist in planning and leading local awareness activities and forums for continuous learning.

  • Provide other lean training when necessary and contribute to training material enhancements

  • Work with other lean advisors to share lessons learned, replicate improvements and establish a consistent deployment approach, “Lean Way of Thinking.”

  • Monitor budgets and schedules.

  • Performs such individual assignments as required by management; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, co-workers, clients and supervisors

  • Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Technical certification in a related field or combination of education and experience.

  • Possesses effective and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively present information in oral or written form and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees.

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.

  • Knowledge of advanced statistical/process modeling software.

  • Experience leading 5S and Kaizen events.
