Sales Administrative Assistant

Career Summary

Conducts sales activities for house accounts and provides support to the regional sales managers consistent with corporate mission, values and departmental financial objectives.


Essential Functions

  • Meets the departmental objectives as set in conjunction with the sales manager.

  • Runs Desgo program to prepare price quotes for customers and the outside sales staff.

  • Reviews quote information for accuracy.

  • Submits bid to outside sales staff by phone or fax.

  • Gives date of delivery to customer, based on shop’s production and delivery schedules, as directed by Project Management.

  • Interprets and explains quotes to outside sales staff including exclusions and qualifications.

  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, co-workers, clients and supervisors.

  • Performs duties necessary for support of the outside sales staff.

  • Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:


  • AA degree preferred

  • Ability to use computer software (DESGO, Google Suite) for designing and pricing.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

  • Ability to effectively present information to management and subordinates.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and profit margins.

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

  • Ability to read (or learn to read) structural and architectural drawings.

  • Must be self-disciplined to schedule work demands.

  • Ability to communicate well with others on the telephone.
