Canam Group Donates $222,513 to United Way
December 21, 2021
The Canam Group’s annual United Way fundraising campaign, which took place in the fall in plants and offices in Quebec, exceeded the target of $200,000, and raised $222,513, mainly through the payroll deductions program. This amount includes Canam Group’s corporate donation that matched the amount raised by employees.
The campaign includes two major United Way regions:
- The Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches area (plants and offices located in Quebec City, St. Georges and St. Gédéon de Beauce) where $127,004 was raised.
- The Greater Montreal area (plants and offices located in Boucherville and Laval) where $95,509 was raised.
Funds were also raised for two other charitable organizations, HealthPartners-Quebec and the Quebec division of the Canadian Red Cross, which will receive $1,212 and $2,441 respectively.
“I want to thank all of Canam’s colleagues for their generosity and especially those who coordinated this campaign in a context that limited the possibilities of activities,” said Claude Provost, Senior Vice President, Culture and Organizational Development. “Charities are particularly solicited at this time, and I have no doubt that our donations will make a difference. Thank you again, everyone!”
