Canam Group Donates $230,220 to United Way

December 20, 2018

In October the annual United Way fundraising campaign was held across Canam Group’s plants and offices in Quebec. Mainly thanks to the payroll deductions program, the 2018 objective set at $230,000 was reached at $230,220. This amount includes Canam Group’s corporate donation that matched the amount raised by employees.

Employees in Quebec are divided between two major United Way regions:

  • The Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches area (plants and offices located in Quebec City, St. Georges and St. Gédéon de Beauce) where employees raised $70,476.
  • The Greater Montreal area (plants and offices located in Boucherville and Laval) where employees raised $47,436.

Funds were also raised for two other charitable organizations, HealthPartners-Quebec and the Quebec division of the Canadian Red Cross, which will be presented with checks for $3,667 and $4,836 respectively.“The 2018 United Way campaign is once again a success and it is on behalf of all the people who, through different organizations, will benefit from the amassed funds that I thank all Canam Group’s colleagues for their great generosity,” says Claude Provost, Senior Vice President, Shared Services and Organizational Development. “I would particularly like to thank the teams who do not hesitate to get involved in fundraising activities to animate the annual campaign. Thanks again to all!”
