Canam Group Donates $230,302 to United Way

December 1, 2015

The annual United Way campaign was in full swing at Canam Group business locations across Quebec from October 19th to the 30th. Thanks to a variety of fundraising activities such as tasting sessions, auctions , casual days, etc. that were organized by employees, the 2015 objective of $205,000 was largely surpassed, climbing to a total of $230,302. This amount includes Canam Group’s corporate donation that matched the amount raised by employees.

Employees in Quebec are divided between two major United Way regions:

  • The Quebec City and Chaudière-Appalaches region (plants and offices located in Quebec City, St. Georges and St. Gédéon de Beauce) where employees raised $61,927.50
  • The Greater Montreal area (plants and offices located in Boucherville and Laval) where employees raised $46,321.

“Every year, the United Way campaign brings us together in a group effort to help people in need,” underlined Claude Provost, Vice President of Human Resources and Shared Services. “However,” he added, “Canam Group employees demonstrate their commitment to supporting various organizations in their respective communities year round.” He concluded in saying: “I wish to thank all employees for their great generosity and motivation to make this event a success year after year.”
