Canam Group Donates $240,766 to United Way

December 20, 2017

In October the annual United Way fundraising campaign was held across Canam Group’s plants and offices in Quebec. Mainly thanks to the payroll deductions program, the 2017 objective of $215,000 was surpassed, climbing to a total of $240,766. This amount includes Canam Group’s corporate donation that matched the amount raised by employees.

Employees in Quebec are divided between two major United Way regions:

  • The Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches area (plants and offices located in Quebec City, St. Georges and St. Gédéon de Beauce) where employees raised $77,225.
  • The Greater Montreal area (plants and offices located in Boucherville, Laval and Boisbriand) where employees raised $45,388.

Funds were also raised for two other charitable organizations, HealthPartners-Quebec and the Quebec division of the Canadian Red Cross, which will be presented with checks for $2,213 and $5,046 respectively.

“The 2017 United Way campaign is once again a success and it is on behalf of all the people who, through different organizations, will benefit from the amassed funds that I thank all Canam Group’s colleagues for their great generosity,” says Claude Provost, Senior Vice President, Shared Services and Organizational Development. “I would particularly like to thank the teams who do not hesitate to get involved in fundraising activities to animate the annual campaign. Thanks again to all! ”
