Canam Group Wins an Award at the CanBIM Awards

October 19, 2016

The second annual CanBIM Awards ceremony took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on October 5, 2016. Created by the Canada BIM Council (CanBIM), the contest aims to recognize excellence to those who demonstrate leadership and innovation through the implementation of the BIM technology (Building Information Modeling) throughout the Canadian construction industry.

Canam Group won the award in the “Trades Award” category for the Rogers Place project in Edmonton, Alberta. This award recognizes the specialized contractors who implement BIM and virtual design and construction; non-exclusively with companies that work in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, building envelope, structural steel and others.

“I was deeply honored to accept this award on behalf of my colleagues at Canam Group” said Daniel Barbeau, BIM Manager, Development and Operations. “We are tremendously proud to have won this award and we want to share it with all project partners.” He concluded by saying, “At Canam Group, innovation moves us forward. It is what keeps us at the leading edge of technology and enables us to collaboratively deliver the most complex steel structures.”
