Canam Group Wins the “International Award” at the CanBIM Awards

The award ceremony for the third edition of the CanBIM Awards was held on September 28 at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto. The competition is organized by the Canada Building Information Modeling Council (CanBIM), and aims to highlight the efforts of those who have shown innovative leadership in implementing BIM technology in Canada’s construction industry.
Canam Group won an award in the “International” category for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium project in Atlanta, Georgia. This prize is given to members who work abroad on international projects where BIM and virtual construction technologies are used and implemented.
The award was accepted on behalf of Canam Group by Steve Beaulieu, Virtual Design and Construction Project Manager, and Patrick Martin, Business Development, Canam-Detailing.

To create this architectural masterpiece, Canam Group supplied 29,000 tons of structural steel components, which required the involvement of 300 detailers/modelers spread out over seven drafting rooms and four time zones.
