Extension of Highway 407: Goodco Z-Tech Lands a Major Contract

Goodco Z-Tech recently concluded an agreement with the 407 East Construction General Partnership, a public-private partnership (PPP), to design and fabricate over 1,900 structural bearings and more than 300 meters (984 ft) of expansion joints for 32 bridges that are being built in the scope of the Highway 407 Extension Project which is underway on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario. All of the products will be designed and fabricated at the Canam Group plant in Laval, Quebec, over a period of approximately 18 months.
Structal-Bridges has also been entrusted with the fabrication of 825 tons of steel components and the installation of a railway bridge in Whitby as part of this same project. Fabrication will take place between April and June 2014.
