Highway 407 East Extension – Phase 2

As part of the second phase of the Highway 407 East Extension project in Ontario, Canam-Bridges has obtained a contract to supply and erect steel components used in the construction of two overpasses in Oshawa.

Canam will fabricate 26 curved box girders for a total of 1,690 tons on this project. The components will be fabricated at the Canam Group Quebec City plant in Quebec starting in March, 2017 and the deliveries will begin in August. Canam will also supply 32 Goodco Z-Tech structural bearings for these bridges.

Canam-Bridges has already supplied steel components for two bridges as well as Goodco Z-Tech structural bearings and expansion joints for 52 highway bridges for the first phase of this project.
